Building a Hotel

Despite its prominence as a tourist attraction, the Pearl District of Portland has relatively few hotel rooms. To remedy this situation, a Hampton Inn is being built in the middle of the Pearl. Here are a few photos of the workers doing the building.

I wandered down to the Portland Saturday Market yesterday - not the Farmers Market, but the long-standing arts and crafts and food market. Beautiful day, a lively and colorful scene.
