Alabaster Mosque in Salah-El-Din Citadel

The Citadel was built in 1176 to fortify ancient Cairo against the Crusaders. Modified and enlarged over the centuries, it now contains a complex of three mosques and four museums. One of the most elegant is the Alabaster Mosque.
