Launceston Gorge at Evening

We arrived in Launceston in late afternoon, and after checking into our hotel, enquired about the whereabouts of the city's famous Cataract Gorge. We were delighted to learn that the entry to its walkway was just a few blocks away. We decided to take a walk before dinner, and learned that many Launcestonians use the walkway for a workout run.  The light was fading, but that only made the colors of the lichen-covered rocks deeper and richer. It's a beautiful place for landscape photography.
