Exploring Bumthang Valley

Sunday, September 13

Drives over narrow, bumpy road construction to the neighboring Tang valley of Bumthang. We visited Burning Lake, a monastery for nuns, the Rimochen Lhakhang monastery with tiger stripes on the huge rock above, and the Ogyen Choling Palace which has been converted to a museum displaying the lifestyle of an elite family in centuries past.
